Mystic River Ltd was founded in 2021 by Andrew Boyd and Peter Grant. We are keen outdoor enthusiasts, with over 20 years of experience running outdoor courses and first aid between us. We set up Mystic River Ltd to provide high-quality, personalized, experiences and training.
Andy Boyd
Andy is a qualified teacher of PE and Outdoor education. His main hobby is white water kayaking and holds Advanced White Water Kayak Leadership and Advanced White Water Coaching Awards. Andy also delivers and assesses the Duke of Edinburgh award, utilising his watersports and walking qualifications. With over 10 years working and playing in the outdoors, Andy has gained a range of real-world first-aid experience in remote settings with both young people and adults.
Peter Grant
Pete is a qualified Science Teacher, though no longer teaches full time. As well as being responsible for purchasing in materials for a busy manufacturing company, he currently holds responsibility for the Health and Safety of the staff, as well as being the appointed person for First Aid. Previously he has worked in the outdoor industry as an Activity Instructor for a large corporation, as well as freelancing for smaller companies working on water, land and wheels! His passion for the outdoors started in Mountain Biking at the age of 15, living within a comfortable ride of the North York Moors. At university he began paddling and now holds leadership awards in both canoe and kayak. Both at work and in the outdoors, Pete has more first-aid experience than he would perhaps like to recall…
